Entering my last semester in college and soon the “real world”:
Posted Nov 29, 2011 by KellieAlmost 4 years have now flown by as I am entering my final semester at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. There are many questions I ask myself on what my future will bring and how I can achieve my goals. The decisions I will have to make in the near future could possibly change the direction of my career. Maybe I will take a year off and travel Europe or even move out to Denver with my neighbor after graduation. Do I want to stay in Duluth? Will I be able to find a job or maybe I should just try to find another internship somewhere? Did I pick the right major? Should I continue going to school to further my education? The list of questions is almost endless and same with the possibilities.
My goal coming into college was to graduate in 4 years at UMD and accomplishing that goal is approaching fast. The plan for now is to keep trying hard in all my classes and provide a good image for myself. I want to be able to network within the city of Duluth and see what the possibilities are for a career. A great opportunity could show up any day.
At this point in time I am satisfied with what I have accomplished and am excited to see what opportunities a college degree can bring me. I have been taught to set my goals high and who knows; maybe one day you will see me cruising on a yacht on Lake Superior with more money than I can count. In the end, the overall goal in my life is to be happy and look back at what I have done and know I gave it my all.
