2000
- 2000 Census data reveals 24-35 year old population is below national average for a community Duluth’s size.
2001
- Bridge Syndicate launches. Mission is to promote civic, cultural and economic opportunities in the Twin Ports Area for young people.
2002

2004
- Chamber approaches Bridge Syndicate to collaborate on young professional efforts.
2005
- Duluth Young Professionals (DYP) is launched by Chamber.
- DSACF (Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation) hires Community Initiatives Officer to work on ARYA (Attracting and Retaining Young Adult) initiative.
2006
- DYP expands by adding a Leadership Council.
- AYRA Task Force established to come up with recommendations for the community.
- DYP launches Action Teams expanding initiatives.
2007
- ARYA Task Force rolls out six recommendations in a skit called “Solutions” at the Renegade Theatre.
- KCCI (Knight Creative Communities Initiative) begins in Duluth; year long process; 1 of 3 communities selected out of 60.
- DYP concentrates focus to four initiatives: Events, College Connection, Best Places to Work Survey & Awards and Civic Engagement.
- 34yr old Don Ness wins Duluth mayoral election making him the second youngest mayor in the city’s history.
2008
- DYP changes name to Fuse Duluth and introduces a membership.
